No, you cannot shower, bathe or swim while wearing any of the monitors.

No, you are provided with a diary to document all of your symptoms. Our cardiac
technicians use this information along with the data on your monitor.

Yes, please bring change with you to your appointment.

No, all you need to do is return the monitor to the receptionist at the front desk.

Once you’ve returned the monitor our cardiac technicians will process your report with in 24 hours (usually the same day) and send it to a specialist for interpretation. Once it is interpreted and returned to us we will fax or mail it to your physician. This usually takes 1-2 weeks. If there is something of an urgent nature we will contact your physician immediately.

Every 30 minutes during the day until 10 pm, then every hour until 7 am.

If it does not acquire a proper blood pressure reading it may try again up to 3 times within 15 minutes.

Please remain as still as possible as soon as you feel the cuff starts to inflate.

Yes, unless directed otherwise by your physician.

If it is after business hours please check the following:

  • the hose for kinks
  • the hose is connected to the monitor
  • the cuff is not folded
  • the cuff has slide up or down your arm
  • the cuff is too tight or too loose
